[p.89] Migration makes it harder for cooperators to win because defectors might exploit and destroy one group and then move on to take advantage of another. As a result, migration undermines cooperation. We found that group selection still favored cooperation, provided that the benefit to cost ratio was boosted to compensation for migration.

這想法似乎可以加以延伸,討論migration本身也可能有某些benefit,比如帶來創新或人口紅利之類,與其減損cooperation的cost形成trade off,在一些條件下,應該可以求出某個optimal rate of migration。書後有附他的期刊論文作參考文獻,不過還沒時間找來讀。
